SFTW Says: Happy New Year Resolutions

It's been a crazy year. And I suppose, a good one at that. So here's the SFTW version of lessons learnt and resolutions for the next year, and yesssssss - posting resumes tomorrow.

Lessons Learnt

- It is indeed very very possible to bring God into the picture, because He, His works, and His relationship with us is reflected in every facet of life. It is only about being sensitive enough to see and recognise it, acknowledge it, and give Him the credit for it.

- We can talk about God freely, and easily. When you fall in love with someone, and you spend time with someone for extended periods of time, it is natural to start talking about it, sharing about it with others. And it is the same with God, we can fall in love with Him.

- Our femininity is not a weakness, nor is it a point of aggression, or something we have to live up to. We don't have to wear makeup, or put on a skirt to feel feminine. We already are, because He says we are. And we live that out because He brings it out in us when we slowly become the women He intended us to be.

- Our godly brothers-in-Christ deserves more credit for their impacts on our lives than they are getting. I used to think that brothers-in-Christ might possibly be put in our lives to torment us, but when these brothers seek to edify, to protect us, to encourage and spur us on the greater things - even though it could hurt sometimes, we thank God for them. (:

- Compromise is an artform. Negotiation is a skill. Diplomacy is sought after. Tact is a lesson learnt. However, laughter is a great lubricant and food/coffee is oil to the life machine.

Resolutions

- Continue falling in love with Him. Deeper, grander, more passionately and head over heels.

- Listen to those that offer their aid/constructive criticism/opinions- no matter what they say, if they say it with the right motives, it's meant for us.

- Continue writing things God impresses on our hearts. To remain open and honest, and remember that the purpose of this blog is to edify, to encourage, to have God sovereign in all areas of our lives.

- To live out what we write, to walk the talk.

- To (start) exercising and be good stewards of the bodies God gave us. Lol. (Sodabug: NOOOO....)

- To find more contributors to post. After all, no two women is an island. (E, I'm looking at you)

- More time given to living life on the outside and not through the medium of the internet. It sounds rather contradictory coming from a blog but some of our best posts have come from experiencing life and people outside of the blog.

- Find the perfect design for this blog. I will not rest until we are looking damn hot. (Ange: YES YES YES!)
